Island Favorite Meat Marinade

Makes: 4-6 servings Total Time: 4 hr

what you need
  • 1 large bottle Kikoman Soy Sauce
  • 4 or 5 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 4 sprigs green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons roasted sesame seed, crushed very fine
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seed oil (peanut or salad oil can be substituted)
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Accent
  • Brown sugar to sweeten sauce slightly
  • DO NOT USE SALT - SOY SAUCE IS SALTY
make it
Mix all ingredients together and add meat to marinade, covering meat with sauce. Let meat marinade for at least 4 hours or overnight. Cook over hot grill.

Suggested meats: round steak, cube steak, boneless pork, boneless chicken, spare ribs, hot dogs (with small slit through top of each hot dog to allow marinade).
Notes
This recipe was handed down from my Hawaiian grandmother years ago. It is a family favorite and has been enjoyed by family and friends for years. It is requested often. Adding a few hot dogs to the marinade will keep the children happy.
