Makes: 10-12 servings Total Time: 1 hr 15 min
Category: Dinner Entrees Sub Category: Beef Entrees

what you need
  • 2 lb. meatloaf mix, (beef, pork, and veal)
  • 1 1/2 cups Italian bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. Lawry's garlic salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, diced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped and fried in olive oil
  • A little splash of water or milk
make it
Chop onion and fry with olive oil drain and set aside.
In a large bow, mix all prepared ingredients with clean hands. Add a little splash of water as you go, it will help to keep it together.

Roll a small ball in the palm of your hands, rolling till it all comes together. (If you like you meatballs larger, you can add more meat to your preference). Place on a baking sheet.

Place in preheated 350 degrees F oven for about 20 min according to size. Don't overcook -- it will make them too dry. Add to your favorite sauce. They will cook more in the sauce pot.
Notes
This recipe can be used for meatloaf too. Just add chopped green pepper to the meat mixture and pour a can of tomato soup, katsup or cream of mushroom soup over the top. Works great. For meat loaf about 1 hour to cook.
