Italian Meatloaf

what you need
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. Italian sausage
  • 1 small to medium onion, diced
  • 6 - 8 saltine crackers, crumbled
  • 1 egg
  • 8 oz. tomato sauce, divided
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1 1/2 tsp. fennel seed
make it
In a large bowl, mix ground beef, sausage, onion, crackers, egg, about 5 oz. of tomato sauce, 1 cup cheese and fennel seed. Place in baking dish and form a loaf. Make a trough in center of loaf.

Bake at 350 for about an hour.

When done, scoop out any fat that fills the trough. Pour in the rest of the tomato sauce and fill with the rest of the cheese. Place loaf bake in oven till the cheese is melted and starts to brown.
