Italian Oven Fried Chicken

what you need
  • 2.5 - 3.0 lb. frying chicken, cut up or 6 skinless boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Kraft Italian Salad Dressing (regular or Light Done Right)
  • 2 cups cornflake crumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
make it
Marinate chicken in salad dressing for 8 hours or overnight, in resealable plastic bag. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Place cornflake crumbs, salt and pepper in resealable bag; add chicken pieces. Shake well to coat.

Place on baking sheet lined with foil. (Spray with nonstick spray or use Reynolds Release brand foil.)

Bake for 30 - 45 minutes or until crispy on the outside or internal temperature reaches 180 degrees F.
This is a kid pleaser for potlucks, so try preparing it using all drumsticks or thighs. It goes especially well with potato salad and some crispy Italian bread.

Rated  by a cook on 3/16/2004 Believe it or not, it completely fooled my husband! He thought that he was eating his Mother's 'Old Fashioned Fried Chicken'!!! Anything to get him to eat healthier!!! & I still haven't told him otherwise!!!!!!!!
