Kadee's Turkey Stroganoff

what you need
  • 1.25 lb. lean ground turkey 97% or higher
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 package brown gravy mix
  • 2 cups 2% milk
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • Garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 oz. light sour cream
  • 1 box instant brown rice or 1 package egg noodles
make it
Brown turkey in a skillet.

Add soup and gravy mix, stir in milk. Add soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste. Let simmer on low for 20 minutes. Add in sour cream and turn heat off.

In a sauce pan cook rice or noodle as per the directions on the package. Serve turkey mixture over rice or noodles with your favorite veggies on the side.
Notes
This is a lower calorie and fat option to traditional stroganoff. My kids and I prefer brown rice my husband likes noodles. I modified this over the years from a recipe my mom used to make.
