Kahlua Mudslide Brownies

what you need
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. Kahlua
  • 2 Tbsp. Irish Cream Liqueur
  • 1 Tbsp. Vodka
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • Kahlua Glaze (recipe follows)

  • 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. Kahlua
  • In small bowl, blend sugar with Kahlua until smooth.

Sift flour with baking powder and salt. In small saucepan, combine butter and chocolate (chopped up). Set over low heat, just until chocolate is melted. Set aside.

In bowl, beat eggs with sugar until light. Beat in dry ingredients, chocolate mixture, Kahlua, Irish cream liqueur and vodka. Fold in nuts.

Pour into 13x9-inch pan and bake at 350°F about 25 min. Cool in pan. Spread with Kahlua Glaze. Cut into squares and serve.

Rated  by a cook on 3/6/2011 You got to be kidding me - not chewy?? They were awesome and very chewy - put some almonds in as well and they were the hit of the party! Great brownies!!
