Kelly's Taco Dip

what you need
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 container (6 oz.) French Onion Chip Dip
  • Lettuce (amt. subject to preference for topping)
  • Tomato, chopped (amt. subject to preference for topping)
  • 1 pkg. shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese
  • Salsa (Optional)
  • 1 bag restaurant style tortilla chips
make it
Brown ground beef in skillet and season with taco seasoning, as per instructions on seasoning packet.

While beef is browning, mix cream cheese and chip dip in medium sized bowl with electric mixer till evenly combined, and spread over bottom of a 9 by 13 inch cake pan with a spoon or spatula.

Once, beef is cooked and seasoned, pour it over your cream cheese mixture in your pan. Top with lettuce, tomato, and cheese to preference. This snack is great w/ salsa on the side. Caution! It's very addictive!!
When refrigerating, cover pan with plastic wrap or foil. Also, once the beef is cooked throughout, this dish can be eaten hot OR cold.
