Mandarin Chicken

what you need
  • 6 boneless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple juice
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • Juice from 11 oz. can of mandarin oranges (can save oranges for a later use)
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
make it
Cook chicken stips till no longer pink. Mix remaining ingredients except cornstarch and pour over chicken strips.

Simmer over medium low heat for about 25 minutes. Mix cornstarch with water and pour into mixture and stir till thicken. Serve over rice.
Notes
My husband loves the Mandarin Chicken at Panda Express Resturants. This almost has the same flavor and taste.

Rated  by snackerdee on 2/7/2011 This was very good!!! Everyone in my family loved it! I wish it had some veggies in it but, I used the leftover mandarine oranges in a salad with lettuce, pecans, strawberries,coconut, and poppyseed dressing and served it on the side with this dish. Very good!!
