Makes: 96 balls Total Time: 24 hr
Category: Desserts Sub Category: Candies

what you need
  • 2 boxes powered sugar
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 stick butter
  • 4 cups chopped nuts
  • 2 cans coconut (frozen adds moister, balls will not form as well)
  • 1 large package semi-sweet chocolate drops
  • 1 block paraffin wax
make it
Mix sugar, milk and butter together. Add nuts and coconut mix well. Roll into balls. (I use a melon baller to keep the size the same.)

In a double boiler melt the chocolate drops and paraffin wax.

Dip balls into chocolate with a toothpick. (Toothpick makes a small hole chocolate covers nicely.) Let cool on wax paper.
Great for large gathering, office parties and holidays.

Rated  by vas7071 on 11/11/2006 Have been making these for years for a Christmas open house each year. So good! I make in November and freeze and then at the end of November I do the dipping in chocolate and refreeze until the open house. I love them right out of the freezer.
