what you need
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound sliced bacon, diced
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 can (16 ounce) baked beans with pork, drained
  • 1 can (15.25 ounce) lima beans, drained
  • 1 can (15.5 ounce) garbanzo beans, drained
  • 1 can (15.5 ounce) great Northern beans, drained
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 2 teaspoons white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
make it
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2. Heat a Dutch oven over medium heat. Use a large pot or saucepan if you do not have a Dutch oven. Add the beef, bacon and onion. Cook and stir until beef is evenly browned and crumbled. Drain off grease.

3. Stir in the baked beans, lima beans, garbanzo beans and Great Northern beans. Combine the ketchup, brown sugar, salt, mustard powder, vinegar and molasses; stir into the beans. If you are not using a Dutch oven, transfer to a casserole dish.
