Makes: 5 to 6 servings, 1-1/2 cups each Total Time: 35 min
Category: Dinner Entrees Sub Category: Beef Entrees

what you need
  • 1 lb. hamburger meat
  • 1 pkg. Taco Bell Taco Seasoning Mix (& 3/4 cup water to prepare)
  • 1 pkg. Velveeta Shells and Cheese
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • Approx. 20 tortilla chips, crushed
make it
Brown hamburger meat, drain. Add taco seasoning and water. Prepare according to package directions. Meanwhile, prepare the Velveeta Shells and Cheese according to package directions.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spread the taco meat on the bottom of a 2 qt baking dish. Spread the salsa on top of the taco meat. Spread the prepared Velveeta Shells and Cheese on top of the salsa. Top with crushed tortilla chips.

Bake for 10 minutes and serve.
This could also be made on the stove by using the same skillet from the taco meat. Combine the prepared taco meat, salsa and prepared Velveeta shells and cheese. Top with crushed chips. (I prefer the baked and layered method, but both should taste the same).

My husband loved it and it was so easy!
