Mom's Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

what you need
  • 3 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups mashed bananas
  • 4 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly butter 2 9x5 loaf pans. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. In a medium bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add bananas and eggs beating until well blended. Beat in vanilla. Add dry ingredients to banana mixture and blend well. Stir in chocolate chips. Don't over mix.

Pour batter into prepared pans.

Bake for 1 hour or until golden brown and cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Set pans on rack to cool for 15 minutes. Then turn out of pans to cool completely. Eat frozen for added enjoyment.
