what you need
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • 3/4 can (10 oz.) tomato soup
  • 1 can (10 oz.) Ro*Tel tomatoes with diced tomatoes and chilies
  • 1 can (15 oz.) chili seasoned pinto beans (ranch style beans)
  • 1/2 can water
  • Nacho Cheese flavored Doritos
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
make it
Brown ground beef, onions and peppers. Drain fat. Add soup, tomatoes, beans and water. Stir and simmer for 15 minutes.

Generously layer a 9x13 dish with Doritos. Pour meat mixture over Doritos and top with cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees F until cheese melts.
Notes
You may alter the Ro-Tel tomatoes by using only part of can making it not as spicy.

Rated  by spicymeataballla on 3/4/2008 This was so great! My husband and daughter absolutely loved it and it was so easy!! I added some sharp cheddar instead of regular cheddar and used spicy doritoes to give it a zing, although the ro-tel tomatoes did a great job of that. I didn't feel it needed any mexican spices.
