Never Fail Butter Tarts

what you need
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 raisins AND/OR 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • Tart shells
make it
Preheat oven to 375. Cream together the first 5 ingreidents. Stir in the raisins/nuts.

Pour into tart shells.

Bake @ 375 for 30 minutes or until shells are golden brown.

Rated  by bgtkim on 4/9/2006 When I made the Butter Tarts I didn't have any corn syrup so I used 3/4 C. of Aunt Jemima Syrup instead and it still tasted GREAT! I will be making these again and substituting the Aunt Jemima Syrup again! We really enjoyed them! Thanks for the recipe!
