Non-Chocolate Chip Chocolate Chip Cookies

what you need
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter/margarin
  • 1 egg
  • 2-1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
make it
Preheat oven to 375. Mix sugar, butter, and egg in a large bowl. Mix with a regular or wooden spoon. Add flour and baking soda; dough may/should be stiff.

Scoop and drop dough to your preference (tablespoons are usually best.) three inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, or light brown, the centers should be soft. Let cookies stay on pan for 1-2 minutes once removed from stove. Carefully remove onto a cooling rack with a spatula and promptly place into a Tupperware.
Notes
This is my favorite cookie recipe, the product of my boredom! Remember, if you use chocolate chips, then they're chocolate chip cookies, not these! Cookies may be flat, depending on how much you heap onto the sheet. It's fun to make one full cookie that covers the whole sheet. Of course, baking times should be adjusted.
