what you need
  • 3 to 5 lb. 100% ground beef
  • 3 eggs
  • A.1. Steak Sauce
  • Ketchup
  • 1 diced onion (optional)
  • 1/4 fresh green pepper
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 2 1/2 - 3 pkg. saltine crackers
  • Salt and pepper
make it
In large bowl, mix hamburger, eggs, and 2 Tablespoons A.1. Steak Sauce. Mix until runny adding 1 cup ketchup, diced onion, green pepper, and mushrooms. Mix well, should be slimy. Set aside. Crush crackers into small pieces to fine power. Mix into the hamburger. Mix a bit at a time until you can hold it in you hands like large meatball! Set aside.

Cover the bottom of 9" x 13" cake pan or casserole pan in a small layer of ketchup. Spread loaf into pan evenly. Press the loaf away from the pan by sliding your finger along side the pan and the loaf. Place a light mix of 1 cup ketchup and 2 Tablespoons of A.1. Steak Sauce over the entire top.

Cook in oven at 300°F for 30 to 45 minutes or until firm all the way through depending on your oven.
Great with carrots and potatoes on top!
