what you need
  • 5-6 stalks celery
  • 1 1/2 medium onions
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 3/4 lb. pork sausage - mild (I use the 1 lb. frozen tube sage kind, even though it is 1 lb.)
  • 4 cups cornbread crumbs (small box corn muffins)
  • 3 cups Pepperidge Farm Seasoned Stuffing Mix
  • 2 cans (15 oz. each) chicken broth
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 2 tsp. sage (if you don't buy the sage sausage)
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2-3 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
make it
Saute celery and onions in butter until tender. Remove to large bowl. Brown/cook ground beef and sausage. Remove to bowl with celery & onions. Add the rest of the ingredients to the mixture, mix thoroughly.

Place in a lightly greased 13x9 dish.

Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees F.
