Poke and Pour Gingerbread Cake

what you need
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 3/4 cup molasses
  • 2 eggs
  • Butter Sauce
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup water
make it
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour tube pan. Blend all cake ingredients. Pour into pan. Bake for 45-55 minutes.

While cake is baking. bring sauce ingredients to boil over medium heat. Turn off heat.

Immediately when cake comes from oven, poke holes in cake and pour sauce over cake. Cool to warm and serve with whipped cream.

Best gingerbread cake you will ever eat!!!!
