Pork Chop Dinner

what you need
  • 4 pork chops
  • Seasonings (salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder)
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 3 medium Irish potatoes, cubed
  • 1/4 stick butter or butter spray
  • 1 can (15 oz.) Bavarian style sauerkraut
make it
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Season pork chops with salt and pepper, onion and garlic powder. Cover with flour and brown in skillet.

Then prepare a 13x 9 in baking dish by coating with butter. Cover bottom of dish with cubed potatoes.

Then add sauerkraut with its juice to cover the potatoes and place browned pork chops on top of the sauerkraut.

Cover dish with aluminum foil. Cook for 1 hour or until potatoes are cooked.
Notes
Change seasoning if desired, but the effect of the kraut on the Chops is incredible.

Rated  by CahoneGal on 11/9/2013 This was a wonderful recipe! Mom made this so often, however, she added a coarsely chopped apple. So did I. The chopped apple was scattered on top of the kraut. This was a warm, comforting dish for a cool Colorado Autum evening.
