Pork Chops & Onion Gravy

what you need
  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 1 can French onion soup
  • 1 container (8 oz.) sour cream or plain yogurt
  • 2 cups cooked rice
make it
Trim fat from pork chops and brown in oil in a medium skillet; drain. add onion soup and simmer until chops are very tender. (May need to add a little water:)

when chops are cooked, add sour cream (or yogurt for a low fat option). Serve over cooked rice.
Notes
This recipe I use when I'm cooking for just me & my husband. I double it when I am having company. I also add mushrooms to my gravy.....

Rated  by bigbouncy on 7/25/2006 WOW!! This was so tasty. Everyone loved this. I served it with mashed potatoes and put the gravy over them. Yummy. I added some extra onions and chicken broth for more gravy and flavor. I will be making this again. :)
