Quick Taco Soup

what you need
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • Powdered garlic
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • 1 package original ranch dressing (dry)
  • 2 packages taco seasoning
  • 2 cans diced or crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cans pinto beans
  • 2 cans red kidney beans
  • 2 cans original Ro*Tel
  • 1 can whole kernel yellow corn
make it
Brown onions and set aside. Brown meat and season with salt, garlic and pepper to taste. Add onions to this mixture and stir in ranch dressing and taco seasoning packages.

Open all cans and empty into large stew pot. When meat is cooked thoroughly, drain completely and add to canned mixture. At this time you may need to add additional salt, pepper or garlic as your taste dictates.

Cook on high for 10 minutes then reduce heat to simmer and allow to cook for approximately 45-50 minutes. For much richer flavor allow to cook at low heat for several hours.
Notes
Sprinkle with your favorite Kraft Shredded Cheese and serve with a dollop of Kraft Sour Cream. Excellent when served with taco chips or corn bread. This recipe is very good when served as a leftover meal.
