Makes: 6 servings Total Time: 35 min
Category: Dinner Entrees Sub Category: Beef Entrees

what you need
  • 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 envelope beef and onion soup mix
  • 1 can golden mushroom soup
  • 1 soup can water
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp. cold water
make it
Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion and salt and pepper. Form mixture into 6 patties. Fry in skillet for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and no longer pink in center. Remove patties from pan. Drain fat.

In same saucepan, mix soups and can of water. Heat mixture to boil, reduce heat to med, stirring until dry soup is dissolved. Mix 2 Tbsp. water and cornstarch together until smooth. Gradually add to soup mixture, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.

Return beef patties to pan and heat through. Serve over mashed potatoes or cooked egg noodles.

Rated  by heidiwalbourn on 12/31/2007 This is EXTREMELY salty!!! It wasn't the worst thing I have ever tasted, but it wasn't very good either. We ate it. My 4 year old was the only one who asked for more (she eats salt out of the shaker if I don't have it hid).
