Makes: 4-6 servings, 1-1/2 cups Total Time: 30 min
Category: Dinner Entrees Sub Category: Fish & Seafood Entrees

what you need
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 cup shrimp, pre-cooked
  • 2 cups Kraft Minute Rice, uncooked
make it
Melt butter in fry pan. Add paprika and stir until blended. Add onion, green pepper and garlic. Simmer until tender.

Add stewed tomatoes. Salt and pepper to taste. Boil mixture for 5 minutes. Add shrimp and boil 10 minutes more.

While shrimp Creole mixture is cooking, cook rice in separate sauce pan following manufactures direction. Serve shrimp Creole hot over rice.
This is always a big hit in our home! Simple and easy to make!! I use frozen cooked salad shrimp in this recipe. Fresh shrimp (peeled and deveined) can also be used, as long as you pre-cook shrimp before adding to the Creole mixture.
