what you need
- 1 box elbow macaroni
- 1 small onion, chopped small
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 3 cans tomato soup
- 1/2 Tbsp. pepper
make it
Cook macaroni as directed in 2-quart pot. While macaroni is cooking, chop up small onion.
About halfway through macaroni cook time, preheat non-stick skillet. When heated add the butter and chopped onions. Cook until onion is a slightly browned transparent color. Add hamburger and stir. Cook until hamburger is no longer pink.
At that point macaroni should be finished. Drain macaroni and set aside back in 2-quart pot. At this point if you have a large amount of grease in your skillet drain it, otherwise add the hamburger, tomato soup, and pepper. Mix until all components are mixed thoroughly.
Notes
Every child who comes to my house loves it! And by using the tomato soup it creates a different flavor than traditional spaghetti sauce.
