what you need
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp. enriched flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 3 cups tart Michigan apples, diced
- 1 recipe for plain pastry
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/4 cup butter
make it
Beat together sour cream, sugar, flour, salt, vanilla, and egg. Add apples.
Pour into 9-inch unbaked pie shell and bake at 400°F for 25 minutes.
For topping; mix brown sugar, flour and butter. Sprinkle on top and bake 20 minutes more.
Notes
Usually needs to set for a little while before cutting.
