Spice Cake Pumpkin Trifle

what you need
  • 1 spice cake mix
  • 1 bag walnuts halves, divided
  • 1 box instant pudding and pie filling
  • 1 can pumpkin pie filling
  • 2 containers Kraft Cool Whip French Vanilla Flavor Whipped Topping
  • Pumpkin pie spice
make it
Mix up the cake mix as follows on the package and add 1/2 cup of the walnuts.

Then mix up the pudding as directed on the package. Fold in one can of pumpkin pie filling and add 1 cup of walnuts to the mixture. Sit it aside while you cut the cake into small squares.

Start layering the cake into the bottom of your trifle bowl. Then add a layer of the pumpkin pudding mixture and then add a layer of Kraft Cool Whip. Then continue layering until the bowl is full ending up with a last layer of Cool Whip then garnish with a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.
This may not make a lot if your trifle bowl is really large. This is for a medium size trifle bowl.

Also make sure you get pumpkin pie filling and not just pure pumpkin.
