Strawberry Cake

what you need
  • 1 large pkg. Jell-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
  • 1 white cake mix
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen strawberries - save 1/3 of pkg. strawberries for icing
  • Icing:
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • Remaining strawberries
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • Milk
make it
Mix Jell-O and cake mix (do not dissolve Jell-O). Add flour, water, oil and mix well. Then add vanilla, eggs and strawberries.

Bake on 350°F for 30 min. or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.

Icing: Mix all icing ingredients. Add a few drops of milk if too thick to thin a bit more. Be careful and don't add too much.
I usually cut down on the butter in the icing to about 1/2 a stick.

Occasionally I will get a large container of frozen strawberries instead of the small one as well. Play with it till you find what works for you.
