what you need
- 1 box white or yellow cake mix (and ingredients needed to make cake-different brands vary)
- 1 box (4 servings) strawberry Jell-O
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 tub (16 oz.) whipped cream topping
- 1 container fresh strawberries (optional)

Prepare cake as instructed on box, and let cool 30-45 minutes.
Poke holes all over cake with simple butter knife. Prepare Jell-O mix with boiling water until dissolved, and then add cold water. Pour entire contents of Jell-O mix on top of cake.
Then place cake in refrigerator for approx. 1 hour. Then top with whipped cream. Slice strawberries and place on top (optional).
Notes
This recipe can be made with any flavor Jell-O and matching fruit...strawberry is most popular in my family! Good luck and good eats!
