Sue's Chicken Pasta Salad

what you need
  • 3-4 cups cooked cubed chicken
  • 1 box farfalle pasta (bowtie pasta)
  • 1 1/2 cups poppyseed dressing
  • 1 1/2 cups real mayo
  • 3/4 cup red onion
  • 3/4 cup celery
  • Salt & pepper
  • Craisins
  • Sliced almonds

Prepare chicken (I usually boil 4 - 5 frozen chicken breasts for approximately 1 hr). Boil pasta according to directions.

Reserve 1/2 cup of dressing to be added before serving. Add dressing, mayo, onion, celery & chicken, salt & pepper to pasta.

Add reserved dressing, craisins and almonds before serving.
Notes
I always get great comments about this salad!! I have never been a very good cook, so I take this everywhere because it turns out great every time I make it.

Rated  by arennels on 7/5/2009 Made this today for a family picnic and it was terrific! I'm not a big celery fan so I substituted green and red bell peppers instead and it worked out great. My Mother and Sister-in-law both want me to send them the recipe. Thank you to Sue for sharing it!
