Makes: 6 generous/8-10 small servings Total Time: 30 min
Category: Dinner Entrees Sub Category: Beef Entrees

what you need
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 pack taco seasoning
  • 2 rolls crescent rolls
  • 1 small pack Velveeta Cheese
  • 1 pkg. Kraft Mexican Shredded Cheese
  • 1 onion (optional)
make it
Preheat oven to 350. Brown ground beef and drain. Add taco seasoning according to package directions. Cool the beef (for the 30 min. prep put in freezer for a few minutes-what I do).

While the beef is cooling spread out 1 roll of crescent rolls in the shape of a rectangle on a baking sheet. Pour the cooled beef on top and sprinkle with Mexican Cheese. Then top with the second roll of crescent rolls and squeeze the edges to form a seal. Then bake in the oven according to package directions (12 minutes).

While this is cooking melt Velveeta in a small bowl (may add milk if a thinner texture is desired-I usually do). After 12 min. pull taco bake out of oven and pour the Velveeta on top! YOU’RE DONE!! I usually cut it in 6 servings.
Notes
Everyone I know loves this recipe...you can add onions during the frying of the beef if you desire. I don't because my husband hates them, but my friends have tried it with onions and thought it was great!
