what you need
- 3 lb. lean ground hamburger (or less depending on # of family or guests)
- 1 large can pineapple rings
- 6 large slices Swiss cheese
- 1 package (8 count) whole wheat buns
- 1 small bottle teriyaki sauce
make it
Make your hamburger into patties. Grill them to your liking or until no red juices appear when lightly pressing on the patty.
Turn off one side of your grill and reduce heat on the other side to as low as possible.
Move patties to the none fire side of grill. Add 1 pineapple ring to each burger. Fold Swiss cheese slice in half and tear apart then place both halves on each burger (looks like a cross). This keeps the cheese on the burger- not melting down into your grill.
Once cheese is melted to your liking, place each burger on a whole wheat bun. Depending on the number of guests fill small but wide dishes with minimum amount of the teriyaki sauce. Dinner is served. Dip your burger in the teriyaki and enjoy!
Notes
This is simple and the taste is awesome. The kids love it as well.
