what you need
  • 8 skinless boneless chicken breast halves
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. ground paprika
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups tomato-vegetable juice cocktail (or tomato sauce)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cloves garlic, minced (1/2 tsp. pre-chopped)
make it
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Place the chicken in a single layer in a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Mix together the brown sugar, paprika, salt, dry mustard, chili powder, vinegar, cayenne pepper, Worcestershire Sauce, vegetable juice, ketchup, water and garlic. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken in pan.

Bake uncovered for about 35 minutes. (Can be shredded at this time, or left whole). Check for doneness and cook an additional 10 minutes if so desired.
Serve over cooked rice and a colorful veggie.
