Makes: 8 servings Total Time: 15 min
Category: Desserts Sub Category: Pies

what you need
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup shortening (I like Crisco)
  • 4-8 Tbsp. cold water (refrigerate ahead of time)
make it
Combine flour and salt; cut in shortening with a pastry cutter or a knife until crumbly. Sprinkle cold water till it comes together.

Shape into 2 balls; chill till ready to use.

Roll (with a rolling pin) 1 ball onto a piece of plastic wrap (I like Saran Wrap) to fit pie plate. Roll the other ball out flat for the top.
It's so easy to make a pie crust, but some people just don't have the time. Try it once and you'll love the taste.
