Makes: 3 pounds (40 squares) Total Time: 4 hr 30 min
Category: Desserts Sub Category: Candies

what you need
  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine (NOT margarine spread sticks)
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 oz. or 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 bars (6 oz. each) BAKER'S Premium White Chocolate
  • 1 jar (7 oz.) JET-PUFFED Marshmallow Creme
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts
make it
In 4-Qt. microwaveable bowl, microwave butter on MEDIUM for 1 1/2 min., or until it's completely melted. Add sugar and milk, mix well. Microwave for 5 min., or until mixture boils, stirring after 3 min. Stir well, scraping sides of bowl and stirring back into mixture. Return to microwave for 5 more minutes, again stirring after 3 min. Remove from microwave, stir vigorously til smooth. Let stand 2 minutes.

Add in white chocolate and marshmallow creme. Stir well until mixed. Add in vanilla, stirring till smooth and shiny.

Spread the 1 cup of chopped walnuts on the bottom of a 13 x 9 pan. Carefully pour the hot fudge mixture onto the walnuts, trying not to move them. Using a spatula, smooth the fudge into the corners of the pan and evening out the mixture.

Let cool for 2 hours, turn out onto cookie sheet. (At this time, you can gently press any loose nuts into the fudge.) Cool 2 hours more. Cut into (40) squares with a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
The original Fantasy Fudge has been a favorite of my family for years! This is one of their favorite variations.

Rated  by allyse28 on 8/17/2010 I made this for a boy's birthday in our Sunday School Class. Everyone loved it and several of the children have requested this for their birthday. There was enough to share with other classes and the adults loved it too. They said it tasted like vanilla ice cream.
