Weeknight Scrumptious Meatball Sandwich

what you need
  • 1 bag frozen meatballs (4-8 servings)
  • 1/4 cup steak sauce
  • 1 can (26.5 oz.) spaghetti sauce
  • 1 medium onion, sliced and rings separated
  • 2 Tbsp. garlic, minced
  • Pinch salt and pepper
  • Sliced havarti or provolone cheese
  • 6 hoagie style rolls
make it
Using at least a 2 quart sauce pan, place all ingredients into pot except cheese and hoagie rolls.

Heat over medium heat for 20 minutes or till meatballs are heated fully throughout.

While heating filling, toast rolls, then fill rolls with meatball filling topping with a slice of cheese. Enjoy.
Notes
For healthy/meat free version, use veggie meatballs with low calorie spaghetti sauce, fat free cheese, and whole wheat or all grain hogie rolls. Has an amazing taste.

If cheese doesn't melt quickly, you can place sandwiches in oven open faced under broiler for a minute, but be sure to watch very closely!
