Whole Wheat Crunchy English Muffin Bread

Makes: 8 to 12 servings Total Time: 1 hr

what you need
  • 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour*, divided
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 package yeast
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. baking soda
make it
Mix 1 1/2 cups of the flour with all dry ingredients. Heat milk & water in microwave to 120-140 degrees F. Mix with dry ingredients then add rest of the flour. (Will be thick & gooey).

Grease loaf pan and coat with cornmeal or bulgur wheat. Put in cool microwave and let rise till double.

Microwave on high for 6 1/2 minutes. Slice when completely cooled and toast. Crunchy and Yummy!
Notes
*May use white flour with cornmeal
