what you need
- 1 package German chocolate cake mix
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 1 can evaporated milk, divided
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 package caramels- individually wrapped
- 1 package chocolate chips
make it
Preheat oven 350 degrees. Mix dry cake mix with melted butter, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, and walnuts. Mix well by hand. Press half the batter into 9x13 pan. Bake for 6 minutes.
Unwrap caramels and melt with 1/3 cup evaporated milk in microwave for about 1 minute at a time until melted and mixed smoothly.
Remove brownies from oven and pour caramel over brownies. Pour chocolate chips on top and spoon remainder of batter on caramels mixture. Bake for 14 min or until done. Cool in fridge. Cut and store for best results.
