  1. Slice your meat into approximately ½ inch strips. Cut your peppers and onions into similarly sized strips and set aside.
  2. Place meat into a resealable plastic bag with your marinade. For an easy, low-stress marinade try KRAFT Zesty Italian Dressing as your marinade. Or if you’re in a pinch a mixture of cooking oil, chili powder, finely chopped garlic, and lime juice works wonders. You’ll want to use approximately ¼ cup of marinade for every one pound of meat.
  3. Let your meat marinate for at least 30 minutes, longer if you have the time. Some people even prefer to let their meat marinate overnight in the refrigerator.* If you decide to go that route, it’s best to keep the meat whole for marinating and grilling. You can cut into strips before serving. Discard the marinade and bag whenever your marinating process is done.
  4. Cook and stir meat in a hot skillet. Cook meat for three minutes or until evenly browned. Cook in batches if necessary. Remove meat from skillet and cover to keep it warm.
  5. Add your sliced peppers and onions to the skillet. Cook for three to four minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Make sure to stir your vegetables as you cook to heat them all evenly. While the vegetables are cooking, you can add garlic, spices and/or lime juice for an extra flavor boost.
  6. Return meat to the skillet. Cook and stir everything together for one to two minutes or until heated through. You’re now ready to serve.
  7. Spoon mixture down the center of your tortillas and add your favorite toppings. You may enjoy trying out KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese, BREAKSTONE’S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream, or TACO BELL® Thick & Chunky Salsa. The possibilities are endless. Remember, learning how to make fajitas is all about exploration and customization. Let your taste buds be your guide.

*If you use lime juice in your marinade, do not marinate for more than four hours. The acid in the lime juice could start to cook the meat.
