  • Preheat oven to 350. Mix cake mix according to instructions, and pour into a lightly greased 13x9x2 baking pan. Bake cake for the amount of time said on box.
  • Meanwhile take strawberries and wash them off and slice them in pieces throwing away the ends. Take sliced strawberries put them in a small pot with water and sugar. Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Soon as it starts boiling real good take pot off heat and let it sit.
  • When cake is done, let it sit about 5 minutes. Don't worry if the middle rises. Take a toothpick and poke holes all over. If center of cake has risen, then push softly on it to get it down as evenly as you can.
  • Take your strawberry mixture and pour over whole cake. Mix pudding according to directions then pour on top of the strawberries. Take the pan and refrigerate until completely cooled. Once it's almost cooled take the whipped topping out of freezer and let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes so it's easier to spread.
  • Take cake out of refrigerator and spread whipped topping on whole cake sprinkle crushed almonds on top and enjoy!
