  • Slice angel food cake into three sections, so you'll have three layers. Separate each layer carefully so as to not have them fall apart.
  • Take ice cream out of container and slice into thin slices and place slices on bottom layer, than layer with strawberries, continue with the next layer.
  • On the top of the cake and sides, frost with Cool Whip. I then placed some strawberries on the top. Once finished, place cake in the freezer.

Special Equipment Needed

This is a fast and easy dessert. I purchase an angel food cake so I do not have to bake it! It's a quick dessert and if you use either frozen yogurt or a non fat ice cream no one will know (I used lactose free ice cream, no one knows a thing and I am able to also enjoy dessert!). I'll fix this the same day I am expecting company and place it in the freezer. Serve it later with coffee, everyone loves it…not only is it pretty looking but it's simple and taste great! I said 10 slices but it will depend on how large the slices are that you cut. Enjoy!
