  • Clean and dry chicken. Sprinkle Adobo and 1 pkg. of Sazon on chicken and place in pot with 2 inches of water. Cook until chicken is done (about 45 minutes-1 hour).Remove chicken from pot and place broth in separate bowl to be used later with the rice.
  • Put a little oil in the bottom of the pot and cook garlic, scallions, green pepper, onion, other package of Sazon, and a sprinkle of black pepper until tender. While veggies are cooking remove skin and bones from chicken and cut-up into small pieces.
  • Add chicken to veggies and cook for 5 minutes then add 1 inch of broth that was set aside. Let simmer for 5-10 minutes then add the remainder of the broth and the rice. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to low and cook for 20 minutes or until rice is done.


Good to have as a main course in the summer or as a side to a Ham dinner.
