Make It

Tap or click steps to mark as complete

  • 1. Leave cream cheese (wrapped) out on the counter to soften while you shower.
  • 2. Just before serving, unwrap cream cheese and place in the center of a nice, flat plate.
  • 3. Open the shrimp cocktail and pour over the block of cream cheese. After pouring the shrimp cocktail, make sure a few shrimp stay on top so it looks pretty! Use 1 or 2 jars of shrimp cocktail, depending on your budget.
  • 4. Put crackers in a small basket or on a tray next to the shrimp. Place a small knife (not a kitchen knife!) on the plate for spreading dip.
  • 5. If this girl is special, garnish with parsley, otherwise, parsley is optional.
  • 8. Add 1/4 lb. fresh shrimp if this girl is THE ONE!

Notes

* Usually found in small glass decorative containers in the meat department. ASK if you need help! This was the first recipe I gave to each of my two sons when they moved out on their own. It still remains a favorite in their own families.
