Very easy to make and tastes just like chicken fried steak without the fat and frying mess.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made this tonight, SO easy and SO delicious. Made this tonight, SO easy and SO delicious. I used about 1.39lb. of beef cubed steak, about 4-5 pieces. I rinsed them first, I read mixed thoughts on THAT but I rinsed them anyway, patted them dry with paper towels, and coated them with one packet of Shake & Bake, in the bag, one at a time. I put a couple of teaspoons butter in my pan (& melted it) which was lined with non stick foil, baked the steaks for 35 minutes & then kept them in the oven on warm until I finished the gravy & my peas. I also used peppered gravy like the other reviewer. I will absolutely be ****** this again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from tried this out then looked it up to see if there was a recipe for this and found this one. tried this out then looked it up to see if there was a recipe for this and found this one. It helped determine what temp and how long to cook. great way to make chicken fried steak. We use country gravy package makes two cups, or we use peppered gravy in package, although you can make home made very easily. This is the only way my friend will eat cubed steak now. I have tried homemade frying and all, he says its not as good.we half the recipe and make three steaks

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Question What am I missing? The recipe says total time 1hr 15min but no prep time and bake for 30-35 minutes. What is the extra 30-45 min for?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delicious and Easy I just made this recipe and it was GREAT! If you like the simple crispy cubed steak this is it! I used 5 pieces of cubed steak and seasoned them with salt and pepper and put them in the shake n bake 2x to make sure they were coated well. Baked them at 350 for 35min and they were perfect! They were a little more tender than when I pan fry them which is a PLUS! This will be the only recipe I use from now on!!!
