  • 1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 13x9x2-inch pan.
  • 2. In large mixing bowl beat butter with electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Beat until combined. Beat in banana and eggs. Beat or stir in flour and cocoa powder. Pour into prepared pan.
  • 3. Bake about 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan on a rack. Spread with strawberry and cream cheese frosting (below). Serve or store in refrigerator.
  • Frosting:
  • In mixing bowl combine cream cheese with strawberries and 1 cup sifted powdered sugar. Beat with electric mixer on medium speed until combined. Beat in frozen strawberries (thawed and cut up). Beat in remaining powdered sugar (2 1/2 to 3 cups) until it is of spreading consistency.

Special Equipment Needed


For an absolute perfect brownie presentation, top with a maraschino cherry and a banana slice. A favorite for all ages.
