  • Place turkey legs and wings in a large greased baking dish. Top with sweet onion and green pepper.
  • Mix barbecue sauce, sugar, lemon juice or orange juice and lime juice; mix well. Pour over onion and turkey.
  • Cover and bake 350°F for 60 minutes; uncover and finish baking until done.


Turkey is good for you and my family. Eat a lot of turkey. Turkey is year round and not just for the holiday! You can grill part of the turkey on the grill and the best part is it is low in fat and sodium. What you can do and this is so easy is to buy some turkey necks and wings and put them in your slow cooker and add about 1 cup lemon juice or orange juice, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon garlic powder and 1 cup chopped onion. Cook for about 4 to 6 hours and your dinner is done.
