  • Put enough water in slow cooker to cover pork chops (do not put chops in yet). Stir in just a little less than a half bottle of BBQ sauce, mix up in the water. Stir in all salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder (or slice small onion in half and put in the water.
  • Put your pork chops in slow cooker or crock-pot, cover and cook one hour. Cook on high or medium setting. After 1 hour, turn over (stir pork chops). Cook another 1 hour.
  • Then check pork chops; if they are done (best if starting to fall apart), drain the water, BBQ mixture. Pour the remaining bottle of BBQ sauce all over the pork chops, cook additional 30 minutes or until sauce thickens.

Notes

It takes about 5 min. for preparation. During the last 30 minutes of cooking, make sure your chops don't burn since the mixture had to be drained. I never had a problem, but keep an eye on your cooker, just in case :) You can let pork chops set for 10 to 15 minutes to thicken if desired. It takes 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours to cook, depending on the thickness of the pork chops. Increase the number of pork chops depending on how many people you are going to feed. Boneless pork chops are best to use, but not necessary. My husband is a very picky eater (he rather have a cheese steak rather than a real steak dinner) but loves my BBQ pork chops and ribs. This recipe is also great for BBQ ribs.
