  • 1. Cut beef steaks lengthwise into 1 inch wide strips and then crosswise into 1 inch pieces. Heat oil in Dutch oven over medium high heat until hot. Add beef and onion; cook and stir 3 minutes.
  • 2. Stir tomatoes, pasta and water into beef. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low. Cover tightly and simmer 20 minutes or until pasta is tender. Sprinkle with cheese before serving.

    This is very good, easy, and budget friendly. I will make it again, but I will not use cube steak. I would recommend using a nicer cut of beef because the cube steak was a little to tough for us. 20 minutes is not enough time to get it tender. Next time i will use ground beef or maybe a tender steak cubed.
