  • In mixing bowl cream together cream cheese while adding milk slowly until combined and very few cream cheese chunks left. Add pudding and beat until dissolved and creamy. Fold in 1/2 of the Cool Whip (or 1 (8 oz.) tub), reserving the rest for the topping.
  • In a punch bowl or large glass dish, place half of the cubed angel food cake in the bottom, spoon on blueberry pie filling until all the cake is topped and you can see the pie filling on the side of the bowl (for looks). Spoon on half of the pudding/cheese mixture on top of the pie filling, again spreading to the side of the bowl for looks.
  • Layer the other half of the cubed angel food cake. Top with cherry pie filling. Top cherry pie filling with the other half of the pudding/cheese mixture on top, spreading both to the bowl sides. Top with remaining Cool Whip.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or over night, to set pudding and to allow pie filling to soak into cake.

Notes

Remember to spoon some out for yourself. This went over so well at our church supper that they scraped the bowl clean. I was glad that I saved some for me to try. Low fat cream cheese and 2% milk may be substituted, but anything less than 2% milk will not hold the pudding set. Do not substitute with sugar free Cool Whip, it will not hold the pudding set well.
