  • Open biscuit dough container and separate biscuits. Take 1 biscuit and flatten slightly on a cookie sheet. Place a little over a tablespoon of pie filling in center of biscuit and cover with 2nd slightly flattened biscuit. Seal the edges so that the 2 biscuits take on a dumpling shape. Do the same with the remaining biscuits and pie filling.
  • Follow the directions for baking the biscuits from the container (approx. 8 to 11 minutes depending on your oven). Remove from cookie sheet to cool slightly.
  • Sprinkle with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar if you wish. Serve warm. Best served with vanilla ice cream or Cool Whip Whipped Topping.

Special Equipment Needed


This may also work with homemade biscuits as well. Slice them so you can make layers. Be creative. I sometimes make a topping for them by heating the pie filling and adding a little butter or margarine to it. Drizzle it over the top of the "Thingies" for double the fruit in every bite. This dessert is not low calorie!!! If you like to eat and aren't worried abut your weight, this is the dessert for you! Enjoy!
