  • Drain the can of black-eye peas and remove the pork. Rinse them off about 3-4 times. Finely dice your onion and bell pepper (or use 2 handfuls of frozen mixture).
  • Pour your peas in a medium size bowl and sprinkle them with garlic salt and black pepper to taste. Then pour of flour in bowl. I usually add a little more black pepper to my flour.
  • Make patties out of your mixture. Place them in the hot oil and fry until there golden brown on both sides. Add cheese, place on your bun, and enjoy!!

Special Equipment Needed


I enjoy adding BBQ sauce and 2 Kraft Singles, to create a delicious burger. You can also add turkey bacon, mustard and ketchup or eat with buttered rice. They taste so good you wont believe there meatless Hope ya like them. Shawn, Char, NC
